I’ve been reading this series. It is young adult fiction. You might have heard of the first book, The Golden Compass. I don’t know what it is about young adult fiction or why I’m so into it right now, but I love this series. It has turns and twists, much like say a Harry Potter book, adventure and better yet, great imagination. Perhaps these books are so fascinating to me because I am searching for a connection to my younger self. A connection to my lost imagination. When did you stop using your imagination. It’s kind of scary how it just went away (it feels like in one day). Maybe it is when I stopped playing with toys and started working in the real world. Not sure. But these books make me feel like I could get it back if I tried. If you are looking for a great read that takes you to new and exciting places, give this series a try.
